A Few Words About Us.
ChaoticGlass is owned and operated by Michael Tavares
and Courtney Gaub in Boca Raton, FL. Courtney has been
working with art glass since 2001, when she started making
stained glass panels, mosaics and suncatchers. After working
with stained glass for two years, she began creating fused
glass tiles, bowls and plates. Her early appreciation for art
glass was greatly influenced by her mother, who also works
with stained glass, "One of my earliest memories is of looking
through the Louis Comfort Tiffany books my Mom had.
What I loved the most were the different colors of the
glass and the intricate designs."
Evil eye beads have been a cultural and religious
symbol around the world for an estimated 3000
years. It is believed that the envy of others can
cause harm to another person.

Man-made glass beads have been excavated from cemeteries and dated at around 2450-2600 B.C.
Although it has been debated, the actual origin of man-made glass is not known. The technologies used to produce
glass have evolved tremendously as advances in science have been achieved.
